UPDATE: KZN woman dies in hospital after man shoots her before killing himself
A tragic shooting incident unfolded at a business complex in Westville, Durban, on Tuesday, leaving a woman dead and her partner fatally wounded.
According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, emergency services were dispatched to the scene after reports of gunfire. Initial information indicates that the couple had been involved in a domestic dispute.
“It is alleged that the man produced a firearm and shot the woman before turning the weapon on himself,” Jamieson said.
Paramedics found the woman suffering from critical gunshot wounds and rushed her to hospital for emergency treatment. She succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival. The man was declared dead at the scene.
