President Cyril Ramaphosa says he is looking forward to meet his US counterpart, Donald Trump and believes the engagement will have positive outcomes.

President Ramaphosa is in US on a working visit and took time to speak to journalists at the South Africa’s Embassy in Washington DC earlier this afternoon.

He says this is a critical meeting that aims to normalise relations between the two countries.

“I’m looking forward to a really good and positive meeting. We are looking forward to a good outcome for our country, for our people, for the jobs in our country and good relations and to normalise relations,” explains Ramaphosa.
