SA delegation had fruitful lunch engagement with Trump: Ramaphosa – SABC News
President Cyril Ramaphosa says post the White House media briefing the South African delegation had a fruitful engagement with US President Donald Trump’s administration.
He says the US government has agreed to continue trade talks with the SA government. Ramaphosa says Trump asked what help the country needs.
“We said what the main thing we need is more investment from the United States.”
Ramaphosa says he told Trump that SA wants more and more US companies to invest locally, also with more access to that market.
The President says those engagements were definitely positive.
Ramaphosa says that he also told Trump that he wants him in SA for the G20 conference to handover the chair, with the US president responding he will give it serious consideration.
The President says all in all that the US visit was a success.
