Thaakir to torment Sharks?

Former Sharks wing Thaakir Abrahams returns to Durban for Munster’s Vodacom URC quarter-final on Saturday.

Abrahams made 23 appearances for the Sharks across all competitions from 2020 to 2024, while having a stint with French club Lyon in 2023-24.

The speedster then joined Munster on a two-year deal and has started seven URC matches this season, scoring tries against the Lions and Vodacom Bulls.

He also dotted down in the 30-21 win against Benetton two weeks ago that secured sixth spot on the log for the Irish club.

Meanwhile, Jean Kleyn is set to go head-to-head with fellow World Cup-winning Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth.

They last did so in October 2024, when the Sharks beat Munster 41-24 at Kings Park.
