Godongwana looking forward to working with AfDB President-elect – SABC News
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana says he is looking forward to working with the newly elected African Development Bank (AfDB) Group President- elect Sidi Ould Tah, who won with over 70 percent of the votes.
Tah was backed by Mauritania.
He defeated other candidates including South Africa’s Bajabulile Swazi Tshabalala and Zambia’s Samuel Maimbo.

Godongwana says it was a tough contest.
“We had about five capable candidates and therefore we had to contend in an environment like that, and I think we wish Mauritania and the new president very well and will throw our support behind the new president,” adds Godongwana.
