Family of murdered 20-year-old Eastern Cape woman wants justice – SABC News
The family of the 20-year-old woman whose lifeless body was found in a forest at Ncerha, outside East London, says they are still coming to terms with her death. Asenathi Mve’s body was found with injuries on her upper body.
Police are investigating a murder case.
A 48-year-old man has since been arrested for the incident.
The deceased’s mother, Ntomboxolo Mve says this has been a difficult time for them as a family.
“It really pains me that I now must prepare for my child’s funeral at such a young age. My heart is very sore. I wish everyone who is involved in her murder gets arrested and they throw away the key. If that’s not the case, I will see what I will do,” says Mve.

Meanwhile, police are investigating two murder cases after two bodies were found in Sekony in Botlokwa, Limpopo.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says a relative found the bodies of a 47-year-old man and his 34-year-old partner. Their bodies had gunshot wounds.
Ledwaba says the gun believed to have been used was discovered at the scene.
“At this stage, the motive behind the tragedy remains unclear. However, domestic violence cannot be ruled out as a possible factor. Police have opened a murder case and an inquest as investigations continue. Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has strongly condemned the continued violence between intimate partners and the broader scourge of gender-based violence,” says Ledwaba.
