Investigation launched into double murder in Eastern Cape



Detectives from the Humewood South African Police Services (SAPS) have opened two cases of murder following a tragic shooting incident in Gqeberha, where two women and a man were found dead on July 18 in Central.

According to the preliminary report SAPS Humewood responded to a complaint on July 18 approximately 09:30 in Gordon Terrace Street, Central. 

On arrival the members discovered the bodies of two women and one man, all with gunshot wounds 

The names of the deceased have been identified as Lisakhanya Labi (21), Monalisa Ojani (20) and Godfrey Tholane Seleke (31).

It is alleged that the male deceased Godfrey Tholane Seleke shot and killed the two females and thereafter shot himself. 

At this stage the circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear and the investigation is ongoing.
