Lusikisiki murder trial continues in Mthatha High Court – SABC News


The trial of six men accused of killing eight people in Ngobozana village in Lusikisiki will continue in the Mthatha High Court, Eastern Cape today. The incident happened in September last year.

A forensic investigator testified on Friday that forty rifle cartridges, dozens of bullet fragments and DNA samples were obtained from the crime scene. Furthermore, photographic evidence was submitted to the court.

The court heard how the evidence was gathered as the victims lay scattered around in the two homesteads.

He told the court of the horrific wounds the victims suffered including that of the 13-year-old boy, the youngest victim of the massacre.

The trial is entering its 3rd week.
