Five family members killed in N2 truck crash to be laid to rest – SABC News
Five family members who died in a horrific accident on the N2 between Amatikulu and Dokweni last Saturday are being laid to rest in Ndwedwe, north of Durban, on Sunday.
Lowren Mthiya (41), Sithabiso Mthiya (35) and Phakamani Mthiya (44), along with Khululiwe Maphumulo (35) and Siphiwe Ntuli (44) were travelling from Ndwedwe to Nquthu, attending a traditional ceremony when their car was crushed by a sugar cane truck.
The truck driver, who is from the Mpumalanga province, also died in the crash.

Meanwhile, the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport investigates the cause of an accident that claimed four lives on the N3 interchange in Bergville on Saturday. The accident involving a truck and a taxi left six others critically injured. – Reporting by Thembeka Simelane.
