The Public Order Police have dispersed protesting residents of Unit 15 in Mmabatho, outside Mahikeng, with rubber bullets, after they blockaded Bray Road. 

They are demanding immediate restoration of water provision in the area.  

They say they’ve stayed without water for the past five days and the have also tried to engage with the municipality and authorities to find a way to tank water to the area.

Residents had earlier said they will not leave the protest point until their demand has been heard.
