Zondi, 36, is a graduate of the Market Theatre Laboratory and has been working as an actor and drama teacher for over a decade.

He was last seen on August 18, 2025, when he boarded an e-hail ride. The driver stated that he dropped him off near Helen Joseph Hospital, in Johannesburg.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a denim jacket, black pants, grey long socks, and black sneakers.

The family said at the time of his disappearance, Zondi was experiencing serious mental health challenges and was in a highly vulnerable state.

“His safety and wellbeing remain the highest priority. As his fragile mental health was not widely known, there is concern that interactions with the public could unintentionally place him at risk,” said his family.
