Three men linked to Pretoria hijacking syndicate killed in shoot-out with police

Three suspects have been shot dead following a fierce gun battle with police in Atteridgeville.

Provincial police spokesperson, Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, said highway patrol police, along with private security companies received information about a group of suspects linked to a spate of hijackings around Pretoria.

“The team was strategically placed to be on the lookout for the suspects’ vehicle, which was then spotted,” Nevhuhulwi said.

Police and security tried to stop the vehicle and the suspects sped away.
