Archbishop Makgoba urges SA to cut ties with Israel – SABC News
The Head of the Anglican Church in Southern Africa, Reverend Thabo Makgoba, has called on the South African Football Association (SAFA) to approach the governing body FIFA to ban Israel from international competition.
This, as the Gaza Strip continues to be pounded by Israeli bombs.
The Anglican Archbishop says the church’s Standing Committee also wants South Africa to ban coal exports to Israel.
Makgoba has also urged schools and universities in the SADC region to cut ties with Israeli institutions.
