Slain taxi boss Thamsanqa Moya’s funeral to be held in Soweto – SABC News

The slain taxi boss Thamsanqa Moya’s funeral service will take place in Pimville, Soweto, on Saturday morning.

Scores of families, friends and colleagues are expected to attend the service at Grace Bible Church.

The National Taxi Alliance’s (NATA) Gauteng chairperson was gunned down along the Soweto Highway last week, while on the way to the Johannesburg Central Business District (CBD).

The alliance’s spokesperson Theo Malele says Moya was devoted to the transformation of the taxi industry.

“He was always available to all his members that actually needed advice from him. He was quite a remarkable person, he was a father, he was a businessperson, he was an all-rounder so to say, quite a nice fellow to associate with,” says Malele.
