PA threatens to quit GNU, forcing crisis meeting with ANC – SABC News
McKenzie has also vowed to pull out of all coalition agreements with their fellow GNU partners. He’s accused the Chairperson of the ANC in the Johannesburg region of undermining his party.
Kunene has since been sworn in as a councilor.
Mckenzie has given the ANC until Tuesday to appoint Kunene back to the position of MMC of Transport.

Kunene told SABC News that the two parties are due to meet on either Monday or Tuesday to iron out their differences.
“Look, that is true, but I am saying nothing has been confirmed in terms of the time and venue. We will probably meet on Monday or later Tuesday.”
Kunene says if it comes to a point that they have to exit the GNU, it will not be because they want to cause chaos.
“We are not leaving because we want to collapse the GNU; hence, we are saying that even if we leave, we will continue to support President Cyril Ramaphosa because he has done nothing to us, and we will not support the motion of no confidence against him. Instead, we will defend him against that motion. We know that there are other parties that the ANC can convince to join the GNU, and it will prevail with or without us. However, we believe that our exit will be out of principle.”
