Crime Intel Chief Khumalo receiving treatment following health scare | Madlanga Commission

Crime Intelligence Head, Lt-Gen. Dumisani Khumalo is receiving the best medical care after feeling unwell this morning, Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola confirmed on Wednesday.

In a statement, Masemola said Khumalo felt unwell after arriving at the Brigitte Mabandla Justice College, where he was due to continue with his testimony before the Madlanga Commission.

He said that he is in good spirits and taking health advice from his physician.

“The General’s health is receiving priority, and the Madlanga Commission will be kept abreast of all developments about his condition as well as when he will be available to continue with his testimony,” the statement read.

Commissioner Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga confirmed the news on Wednesday morning, just when the commission was about to begin.

“He is not well. We as the commission have decided not to sit today,” he said.

Madlanga told journalists that their spokesperson, Jeremy Michaels, will announce the new date for proceedings in due course.
