Tshwane Metro Police impound 17 minibus taxis in Pretoria – SABC News

The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) has impounded 17 minibus taxis in Hatfield and East Lynne, Pretoria for violating the National Land Transport Act.
Some of the taxis were found to be unroadworthy, while others were operating without licenses or permits.
TMPD Spokesperson Puleng Motholo says the disregard for the law will not be tolerated.
“These operations are part of ongoing, strategically planned TMPD transport month operations targeting driver and vehicle fitness,” says Motholo.
