Royal House of Mandela calls for release of Flotilla detainees – SABC News
The Royal House of Mandela (RHoM) has issued a call for the unconditional release of all Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) detainees, following the detention of South Africans including Nkosi Mandla Mandela.
Mandela was arrested by the Israeli navy on board the GSF, which was attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
In a statement released on Sunday, the royal house has thanked legal teams, diplomats and the public for their support.
However, it has also raised concerns over the alleged mistreatment of Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, calling for the urgent intervention of the Swedish government.

It has further called for coordinated global action against what it referred to as “genocidal Apartheid Israel.”
The royal house says it welcomes the release of 137 GSF detainees and remains hopeful that the rest will be freed soon.
