Uncertainty over Madlanga Commission’s resumption, Khumalo’s return – SABC News

There is no clarity on the resumption of the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry tasked with probing allegations of criminality, political interference and corruption.

It remains unclear whether Crime Intelligence Chief Dumisani Khumalo will be able to take the stand on Monday, after he could not complete his testimony last month when he fell ill just three days into his testimony.

His testimony was beginning to join the dots on serious allegations that centre an alleged associate of suspended Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, Brown Mogotsi.

The commission was delving into the motivation behind the decision by the Minister to disband the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).

The commission may have to re-arrange the order of the witnesses to meet its tight timeframe.
