The Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) says the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg is currently experiencing longer processing times at passport control.

Both arriving and departing passengers have been affected.

However, no reasons have been given for the delays.

ACSA has advised international travellers to arrive at least three hours ahead of departure to allow for sufficient time for all airport formalities.

It says it will issue regular updates on the situation.
