Seventeen of 43 Limpopo bus crash victims identified – SABC News
The bus crashed after the driver allegedly lost control at Tshambudzi valley, a mountainous stretch on the N1, near Louis Trichardt, on Sunday afternoon.
It was traveling from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape, enroute to Zimbabwe and Malawi.
Spokesperson for Limpopo Premier Thilivhali Muavha says the identification process will continue and the pathology team is expected to conclude postmortem examinations on Wednesday.
“Seventeen families have arrived at Tshilidzini hospital to identify their loved one the identification process will continue on Wednesday for the remaining families. The identification team has taken photographs of all the deceased and the provincial government is encouraging families who are searching their loved ones to visit the hospital as part of the identification process. It is anticipated that by Wednesday the forensic pathology team will have concluded with the postmortem examinations.”
