Mpumalanga police have launched a man-hunt following a shooting incident at a local tavern at Culcutta, in Bushbuckridge.

Police spokesperson, Mpho Nonyane-Mpe says unknown suspects shot 2 people and fled the scene. Police found both victims lying in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds and a firearm on the ground.

Nonyane -Mpe says a man was declared dead by emergency medical personnel while the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Nonyane-Mpe says the motive behind the shooting is unknown and police are investigating a murder and attempted murder case.
