Calls for tight security measures to stop leaking of exam papers – SABC News

The South African Democratic Teachers’ Union (SADTU) has called for strengthened security measures to prevent the leaking of exam papers ahead of the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations, which begin on Tuesday. Out of more than one million registered candidates, at least 700 000 will sit for the NSC exams. The union’s Nomusa Cembi has emphasised the need for professionalism and integrity.

“We urge provincial departments of education and schools to strengthen security measures to prevent any examination paper leaks, as such incidents compromise the integrity and credibility of the entire examination process.”
