Today's weather | Another scorcher for Western and Cape Northern Cape
It’s going to be another hot day across parts of the Western Cape and Northern Cape on Wednesday.
“A heatwave with persistently high temperatures is expected over the Richtersveld local municipality in the Northern Cape and Matzikama local municipality in the Western Cape,” the South African Weather Service warned.
The forecaster said very hot conditions are also expected over the West Coast district in the Western Cape and Kamiesberg local municipality in the Northern Cape.
The rest of the country can expect fine to cool and warm temperatures.
In Gauteng, the UV index will be high, while in Mpumalanga, it will be partly cloudy and warm in the Lowveld.
Part of the Eastern Cape will be hot to very hot along the coast.
Meanwhile, in KwaZulu-Natal, the wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-easterly, reaching fresh in places in the afternoon.
