Ramaphosa to meet Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính – SABC News
President Cyril Ramaphosa will meet with Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính on Thursday.
Vietnam is expanding its consumer market, which presents promising opportunities for South African exporters.
The state visit follows a trip to Indonesia.
International Relations and Cooperation Minister Ronald Lamola says the President’s visit to Hanoi is important, as South Africa aims to strengthen its relations with the Asian countries.
“This leg of the visit is very important for also diversification of our markets into the Vietnam economy. Because Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies in Southeast Asia, it remains a very important market. It is a developing country and emerging market,” says Lamola.
