‘KT’ Molefe’s nephew ordered Armand Swart’s hit: Witness B – SABC News

Witness B has testified that alleged criminal cartel member Katiso ‘KT’ Molefe’s nephew, Lucky, is the one who ordered the hit on Q-Tech employee and engineer Armand Swart.

Swart was gunned down in April last year outside his work premises, Q-Tech, in Vereeniging, Gauteng.

Four people were arrested for his murder, including Katiso Molefe.

Witness B’s testimony has corroborated that of Witness A, in relation to events leading up to Swart’s assassination and those that transpired thereafter.

Lucky Molefe worked at Transnet when the company, which he is also linked to – the SK Group, got awarded a tender from the state-owned company.

However, an employee and whistleblower at Q-Tech sounded the alarm bells over the awarding of the tender to SK Group, even when it was not advertised.

This subsequently prompted an investigation into the matter.

Swart was gunned down days after the investigation was instituted in a case of mistaken identity.

On Wednesday, a telephone recording between Witness B and Sedibeng District Commissioner Mbangwa Nkhwashu was played at the Madlanga Commission in Pretoria.

In the recording, Nkhwashu can be heard speaking to Witness B about how he has been instructed to get the dockets for Swart’s murder case.

Witness B is testifying about the interference that she and Witness A have encountered after cracking the Swart case.

According to Nkwashu, the dockets were meant to be handed over to Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni.

“Instruction from the PC, and collect all those dockets, including that docket of yours and go give it to him, and the instructions were given to us as district commissioners, and if we are not handing in those dockets to him, we’re going to be facing the disciplinary steps.”
