A famous Irish stadium is a “strong option” to host the fourth Test between the Springboks and All Blacks on 12 September 2026.
The final clash of the highly anticipated Greatest Rivalry series is set to be played at a neutral venue, and a decision is expected within the next week on whether that will be Croke Park in Dublin, a stadium in the United States or another venue.
“Croke Park remains a strong option,” a well-placed source told Rapport. “America is another option, among others.”
According to Rapport, the promoter responsible for marketing the match worldwide is expected to give feedback to SA Rugby and NZ Rugby in the coming days, with profitability a key factor in the decision.
OPINION: All Blacks tour not just about Tests
“Croke Park offers seating for more than 80,000 spectators,” the source added. “South Africa and New Zealand’s rugby bosses believe there is enough support to sell out the tickets for such a match at Croke Park.”
