The South African government has congratulated Qhawekazi Mazaleni for being crowned Miss South Africa 2025.

The 24-year-old, who is from East London in the Eastern Cape, was crowned at the Sun Square Arena in Pretoria last night.

The government has also extended its congratulations to the first runner-up, Luyanda Zuma and the second runner-up, Karabo Mareka.

The University of Stellenbosch has congratulated the new Miss South Africa. Mazaleni studied Speech, Language and Hearing Therapy at the institution and the University of Pretoria.

In a social media post, the university says it is proud of her.

South Africans have taken to social media to congratulate the 67th Miss South Africa pageant.
