President Ramaphosa concludes Malaysia visit, attends ASEAN Summit – SABC News
President Cyril Ramaphosa has concluded his official visit to Malaysia, where he engaged with industry leaders to position South Africa as a reliable and attractive investment partner.
During his trip, President Ramaphosa also attended the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit – a key gathering of influential Asian economies that draws global leaders, including US President Donald Trump.
As a strategic African partner, South Africa was invited to the summit as a special guest. President Ramaphosa used the opportunity to deepen trade and investment relations with the region and met with members of Malaysia’s business community in Kuala Lumpur to explore new avenues of collaboration.
The President has also highlighted South Africa’s readiness to host the G20 Summit next month in Johannesburg, noting that several ASEAN member states will be among the participants in the gathering of the world’s leading industrialised nations.
