NFP loses confidence in KZN Premier Thami Ntuli – SABC News
The National Freedom Party (NFP) says it has lost confidence in KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli.
The party is citing financial mismanagement and lack of transparency in the Government of Provincial Unity.
The party says the current administration has failed to deliver on its promises, and it is time for a new approach.
The NFP suggests allowing the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) to take a leading role in future governance, given their strong showing in the recent provincial elections.
The NFP’s KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Deputy Secretary, Zithembe Ngobese, says it is their responsibility to highlight such things as a political party.
Ngobese maintains that it is crucial that they remain loyal to the electorate, especially those who voted for the NFP.
“Some of the things that we noted is his inability to account and take accountability, especially about the department under his watch, especially the department of education and health with regards to irregular appointments, wasteful expenditure, political infiltrations with those departments,” adds Ngobese.
