Deputy Minister of Police Dr Shela Boshielo will appear on Tuesday before the Ad Hoc Committee looking into concerns around national security.
The committee was established to investigate wide-ranging allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the justice system.

Dr Boshielo will be the seventh witness to testify before the Ad Hoc Committee.
She was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Police in July last year.
She’s also expected to shed light on the functioning of the Political Killings Task Team.
Ad Hoc Committee | Police Deputy Minister Boshielo to appear Tuesday:
Last week his colleague Cassel Mathale told the Committee that more than a year in this position he has not been delegated any tasks by his political principal Senzo Mchunu who has been placed on special leave.
Mathale defended the men and women in blue saying that not all of them are rogue police.
“You are talking of over hundred thousand me and women who are in uniform and those that are broke or work with criminal elements do not represent a greater proportion of the police. you removed this rouge elements you will have a police service that will be able to operate without people who are managed somewhere.”
Mathale also told the committee that criminals are trying every trick in the book to infiltrate the system.
On Wednesday, acting Police Minister Professor Firoz Cachalia will take the witness stand.
He will be followed by the Head of Investigating Directorate Against Corruption, Advocate Andrea Johnson on Thursday and Friday.
