SAPS confirms extradition of AKA murder suspects from Eswatini



The South African Police Service (SAPS) confirmed it has received a surrender order from the Eswatini government for Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande the brothers accused of murdering rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

Forbes and Motsoane were shot dead outside a restaurant on Florida Road in Durban in February 2023.

According to SAPS, logistical arrangements are being finalised to execute the order on Tuesday, 11 November 2025.

Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi, 30, Lindani Zenzele Ndimande, 35, Siyanda Eddie Myeza, 21, Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni, 36, and Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande, 29, are scheduled to stand trial in July next year.

While the Ndimande brothers, who are incarcerated in Eswatini, have fought to avoid extradition to South Africa since February 2024, when they were charged in connection with the murders.

In a turn of events the brothers have now indicated that they wished to abandon their extradition appeal on Monday, 3 November 2025, clearing the way for their return to South Africa.

SAPS confirmed that the brothers face 24 charges across three cases, including conspiracy to commit murder, murder, attempted murder, and the unlawful possession of automatic firearms and ammunition.

“The SAPS remains confident that it has a watertight case against the pair,” said Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, national SAPS spokesperson.

National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola expressed appreciation to the Eswatini authorities for their cooperation.

“The National Commissioner takes this opportunity to thank the Eswatini authorities for their cooperation and assistance in firstly apprehending the pair and ultimately ensuring that they are brought back to the country to answer to crimes committed,” Mathe said.

Interpol South Africa and Interpol Eswatini are currently coordinating the formal handover process to ensure the suspects are brought back.
