Zuma-Sambudla trial postponed to November 17

Zuma-Sambudla, an uMkhonto weSizwe Party Parliamentary member and daughter of former president Jacob Zuma, pleaded not guilty to the charges against her when the trial began on Monday this week.
The state alleges that Zuma-Sambudla’s social media posts intentionally and unlawfully encouraged the public to engage in acts of violence, under the slogan ‘#FreeJacobZuma’ in July 2021.
State witnesses who’ve testified so far are Major-General Gopaul Govender, the Hawks’ national coordinator for Unrest Investigations Sarah-Jane Trent and former employee of Forensic Investigator Paul o’ Sullivan.
Zuma-Sambudla is out on warning.
