Epstein emails spark fresh controversy over Trump’s knowledge of sexual abuse
New emails released by Democrats serving on the US Oversight Committee in the House of Representatives show Jeffrey Epstein allege that Donald Trump knew more about Epstein’s sexual abuse than he has publicly acknowledged.
In one of the emails, Epstein writes that Trump, now President of the United States, spent hours at this house with one of the Epstein abuse victims.
Trump has denied knowledge of Epstein’s sex trafficking operation.
These new revelations show Epstein believed Trump was privy to more than he has acknowledged in the public domain.
“House Democrats say the emails raise serious questions about Trump and his knowledge of Epstein’s horrific crimes. But Trump maintains that while he was once friends with the late financier who died by suicide while awaiting trial in 2019 during Trump’s first term, they had a falling out years before Trump first assumed office in 2017.”
The correspondence shared Wednesday is part of thousands of documents from the Epstein estate being reviewed by the House Oversight Committee.
Ranking Democrat on that committee Robert Garcia said in a statement that the latest emails and correspondence raise glaring questions about what else the White House is hiding and the nature of the relationship between Epstein and the President.
