US changes stance, now wants to attend G20: SABC sources


SABC sources have confirmed that the United States now wants to attend the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, despite President Donald Trump previously stating that the US would not participate.

President Trump had earlier announced that the US would not attend the G20 Summit in Johannesburg and that no official would participate in any G20 meeting.

It is not clear who will represent the US in the discussions.

Earlier this month, Trump said that none of his country’s officials would attend the G20 Leaders’ Summit in South Africa as long as the killing of Afrikaners continues.

Earlier this year, Trump announced that he would not be attending the event, instead sending Vice President J.D. Vance to represent the US.
