Macron voices concern over Sudan and Lebanon tensions

French President Emmanuel Macron has raised concerns about the crises in Sudan and the Israel-Lebanon conflict.

He says Sudan’s conflict has now escalated into a full civil war and that rival generals Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo must reach an agreement to allow humanitarian aid into the country.

On Lebanon, Macron says the nation can only reclaim its sovereignty if Hezbollah lays down its arms. Fighting between the group and Israel has continued since October 2023.
