DHSA Premiere: Armonica meets Dear Humans – Better With Time (Dear Humans Version)




Italian duo, Armonica team up with L.A. based pair Dear Humans for a superb new offering on the Stereo Mc’s connected label. Armonica have built a solid reputation over the last few years with standout releases on Mo’Black, Still Vor Talent and Madorasindahouse. Now they join forces with producer Corey Epstein and vocalist & songwriter Alex Who? AKA Dear Humans for an EP which sees the collaborative team digging deep with 3 tracks of atmospheric and emotive electronic excellence. The release opens with title track ‘Music + Me’ , a beautifully textured affair withrising strings, deep rhythms and a entrancing synth work that conjures up the feel of early electro ambiance. Spacious, musical and emotionally haunting, this is a real gem from this collective. The second title, ‘Better With Time’ comes in two variants, opening with Armonica’s version which journey’s into deep, melodic house, with a hypnotising rhythm section producing the perfect base for the delicate piano lines and heartfelt vocal of Dear Humans. The package is completed as Dear Humans deliver their take which has an expansive and laid back feel characterised by tribal percussion, xylophone lines and a stunning treatment of the vocal which sucks you into the groove. This is a superb collaboration that results in a truly memorable EP on connected.
