One person has won over R100 million in the Lotto jackpot, was it you?
After 24 consecutive roll-overs the Lotto jackpot was won on Wednesday.
According to National Lottery Ithuba’s draw sheet the person will walk away with a staggering R103,684,796.71 from the October 30, draw.
Ithuba said it would be the second-highest jackpot ever won in South African Lotto history.
In 2018, the highest jackpot of R110 million was won by four people, followed by the R100 million jackpot which was won on in August 2024.
In the same Lotto draw, two people had five correct numbers and the bonus ball and will each win R89,555.
There were no winners in the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 jackpots, which have rolled over to R17 million and R5 million respectively in the next draw.
Earlier this month an arts teacher won the R43 million Powerball jackpot.
She said her first big purchase would be a grand piano. She played via the Absa banking platform.
Like many other Powerball and Lotto winners, the teacher said she will continue to work “because I really love my job.” She said that many of their family’s long term goals would now be achieved sooner, something she was very grateful for.
