This week for our first mix of the Deep House South Africa mix series we have 2lani The Warrior.

2lani The Warrior has been breaking down dance floors all over the South African club scene since 1997. He is famed for his trademark ‘sweet’ Deep House & Tech sound, and his seamless mixing style which has cultivated an ever increasing & faithful following. His playing style exerts expectations of sound and music endeavours- no mean feat. by any standard.
In high demand always, 2lani was just recently featured on the “Boiler Room” South African showcase live in Johannesburg. His artistic skills and increasing popularity has also resulted in the release of numerous CD compilations: and have become known for their deep uplifting grooves completely selling out during the first day of its release. He always has a trendy fuse of jazz and house.
2lani is now currently running his labels DO IT NOW Recordings, showcasing a more soulful side of House, and also DeepStitched Records (a sub-label of DIN focusing on the more Deeper & Tech sounds) & his latest label called “Music Basket”. As label CEO, 2lani’s vision is to promote & nurture South African talent and ensure that each artist is locally and internationally recognized without losing their true deep essence or becoming too commercialized. The 3 labels were created to showcase a specific type of talent aimed to offer an all-round experience of genres, all under one roof.
