Ramaphosa open to aiding Russia-Ukraine peace efforts: Magwenya – SABC News


President Cyril Ramaphosa remains ready to offer any assistance in bringing to an end the Russia-Ukraine conflict. This was confirmed by presidential spokesperson Vincent Magwenya in an interview with SABC News ahead of the 8th South Africa-European Union Summit, which kicks off today in Cape Town.

The summit comes at a critical time as the world faces numerous global challenges. Magwenya highlights that the event coincides with South Africa’s presidency of the G20, adding significance to the discussions.

“We are delighted that in the same year we are also leading as South Africa the G20. So with respect to the agenda and the issues, certainly we will be looking at the consolidation of the partnership. We would be looking at various areas of mutual interest and trade in particular.”
