A Welsh supporter kept his promise to run a mile for each point Wales lost by in this year’s Six Nations.
“Wales’ results haven’t been the best lately and I’ve lacked the motivation to run as well, so why not combine these two and share some pain,” Bristol-based Rhodri Williams said in an Instagram video before the tournament.
Williams’ pain began with a 43-mile run (69km) after Wales’ 43-0 defeat to France in the opening round, and their tournament-ending 68-14 hammering at the hands of England added another 54 miles (87km) to his tally, the equivalent of a Comrades Marathon.
The Dragons ended a dismal Six Nations at the bottom of the log with a points difference of -119, resulting in a total running distance of 191km for Williams.
