SA condemns Israeli airstrikes that killed over 350 Palestinians – SABC News
The South African government has condemned the Israeli airstrikes launched across Gaza, in which over 350 Palestinians have been killed. The airstrikes took place after the failure to implement the second stage of the peace agreement.
The South African government says it’s gravely concerned by the military onslaught and the fact that millions of people in Gaza are facing severe food and water shortages as Israel continues to block aid and cut off energy supplies to the strip.
Israel has also enforced a total blockade around Gaza and issued new forced displacement orders for several areas.
Pretoria says the provisional orders issued by the International Court of Justice oblige Israel to take all measures to prevent acts of genocide, ensure humanitarian assistance reaches Gaza and preserve evidence related to alleged genocide.
South Africa has further denounced Israeli military strikes in Syria that claimed two lives and wounded 19.
