The cross-examination of the state’s section 204 witness in the kidnapping and human trafficking trial of Joshlin Smith is expected to continue today.

Lourentia Lombaard told the court that Kelly Smith had confided in her that she had sold Joshlin to a sangoma for R20 000.

Jacquen Appollis, Kelly Smith and Steveno van Rhyn are on trial for Joshlin’s disappearance last year.

Yesterday, Lombaard faced questions about her boyfriend from Advocate Fanie Harmse, who is counsel for Appollis.
