Gauteng records over 10 crashes due to slippery roads – SABC News


Joburg motorists and residents have been urged to be cautious amid heavy rainfall.

Gauteng Traffic Police says they have recorded over 10 rashes which are as a result of slippery roads.

Spokesperson Obed Sibasa says major routes are congested and people should drive with care.

β€œIt is raining, roads wet, slippery and dangerous. We advise motorists and other roads users to take it easy. Reduce speed, keep a safe following distance, headlight on for you to see and be seen. Look out for pedestrians. Avoid low lying areas and crossing flooded roads.”
