Two men have been handed life imprisonment each by the Lenyenye regional court outside Tzaneen in Limpopo.

The convicts, Solly Malatjie and Linda Mathiba of Enable village in the Ga-Sekororo area, stoned and stabbed to death a fellow patron outside a tavern in December 2019.

NPA spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says that they welcome the sentences.

“The two young men Refiloe Solly Malatjie and Linda Mathiba of enable village of Ga-Sekororo were sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Thabang Mufhome by the Lenyenye Magistrate Court. The accused accosted the deceased and assaulted him with open arms and stabbed him on his upper body. The NPA welcomes the sentence.”
