Shivambu thanks Bushiri for Malawi visit amid controversy – SABC News
uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party Secretary General Floyd Shivambu has thanked the Malawian self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri for hosting him in that country.
Shivambu’s visit to Bushiri in Malawi got people talking that he visited a fugitive who is wanted in South Africa to answer to allegations leveled against him.
Bushiri was arrested in South Africa but skipped the country and his wife after they were granted bail.
This follows a visit by former EFF MP Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi to Malawi, where he was invited by the University in Lilongwe. During his stay, Ndlozi addressed ethical leadership and, without naming Bushiri, said there are fugitives in Malawi who ran away from the law in South Africa and allegedly stole from the poor.
Bushiri on social media responded by saying Ndlozi has no right to question his wealth. A court in Malawi is set to hear his appeal, where the lower court in that country granted an extradition process to South Africa.
Thrilled to have met Mr Floyd Shivambu! His philosophy of black people supporting each other resonated deeply. Kudos for championing pragmatic ideologies that can propel Africa forward.
Sadly, some still peddle jealousy and negativity, labeling successful black individuals as… pic.twitter.com/5naXEr5mvS
