Suspect in livestock theft nabbed in Limpopo – SABC News
A 54-year-old man has been arrested for alleged possession of suspected stolen sheep carcasses at Alldays outside Musina in Limpopo.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says the sheep owner had reported that his animals were missing.
Ledwaba says the suspect was arrested on Saturday after police traced and found the missing sheep at his home.
“Police received information about the missing sheep. A follow-up was made, leading them to Alldays Speaker Park Phase 2, where two sheep carcasses were found in the suspect’s house. The house owner failed to provide proof of ownership regarding the origin of those sheep carcasses. He was then arrested,” says Ledwaba.
