Durban man shot and killed in a botched robbery – SABC News

A man has been shot and killed in an alleged botched robbery at Kenilworth Road in Sydenham, Durban.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says the man, believed to be in his 20s, was killed after he allegedly tried to rob a pedestrian.

“ALS Paramedics responded to numerous calls for medical assistance. Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the man in an open field who had sustained gunshot wounds to his chest. The man showed no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene. It is alleged that the patient had tried to rob a pedestrian when the man defended himself. However, SAPS were in attendance and will investigate the circumstances.”
