Mchunu urges public not to speculate on deaths of three constables – SABC News

Police Minister, Senzo Mchunu is appealing to the public to refrain from speculating on what might have led to the deaths of three police constables.

Constables Cebekhulu Linda, Keamogetswe Buys and Boipelo Senoge were traveling from the Free State to their deployment areas in Limpopo’s Waterberg and Capricorn districts as part of operation Vala Umgodi when they disappeared a week ago.

Their bodies were recovered at the Hennops River in Centurion yesterday.

Mchunu has appealed for sensitivity as the police investigations continue.

“We are then urging the public, although free to express themselves, but have compassion and sympathy in this sensitive matter and not create wrong impressions about what had happened and replace facts with speculations and just their thinking of individuals,” says Mchunu.
