The Vodacom Bulls are reportedly in the market for a key member of the UCT Ikeys’ 2025 coaching staff to assist with the team’s Currie Cup campaign.
Former Scotland flanker Josh Strauss, who represented the Bulls in 2020 and 2021, is on the shopping list of the Pretoria outfit, according to Rapport.
The 38-year-old, currently serving as an assistant coach with the recently crowned Varsity Cup champions, is being considered for Phiwe Nomlomo’s support staff.

Nomlomo is expected to retain Werner Kruger (forwards) and Kennedy Tsimba (backs) from his previous support team, while defence coach Jean Tiedt may take a break.
The potential acquisition of Strauss comes alongside other Bulls management changes, with former SA Schools coach James Winstanley believed to have already joined as youth development manager.
Meanwhile, former Bulls prop Jacques van Rooyen has been appointed as U21 forwards coach under head coach Edgar Marutlulle.
